How, Where & What???
How do you get to Kariba, may be your first question? My answer has 2 options for you. First of all I can drive you & your friends in one of our luxury coaches to & from KARIBA from any where in Southern Africa (Mercedes x16 Seater & Volvo x44 Seater). The type of coach depends on your group size. The second option is for me to arrange a self drive route to & from KARIBA for your group.

How large can my group be? Vessels on Kariba can cater from 4 to 40 guests at a time, so your requirements specify the size vessel needed. Generally groups of 10-14 for 5-7 nights work out the best, and everybody saves money in the end.
Where do we board the vessels? A person has 2 main areas where the house boats opperate from. The FIRST and largest is the Eastern Basin, where vessels are based in one of the many harbours in & around Kariba Village. The SECOND area is the Western Basin, where vessels are based in & around Mlibizi.

What do I get for my money and where can I go? You charter the whole house boat with crew and all. Depending on your group size this will include up to 2 tender boats, which are used for fishing and game viewing. There are a few International Border Restrictions with Zambia on the Northern half of the lake but except for that you have about 2000 square kilometers in either basin in the Southern Half of the lake, which you are free to explore. Your Captain will know all the in's & out's of the lake to give you the best experience. The whole big 5 and more are found roaming freely the Southern shores of the lake.
What will it cost to charter a house boat? This answer depends on a few options that you as a guest decide on. Let me give you a basic example of what you as regional guest can expect.
For example : A house boat that can cater for a maximum of 12 guests. Charter rate per night is ZAR2,220.00, now divide that between your 12 guests & it will cost ZAR185.00 per person per night. Catering for food only (3 meals a day, teas, coffee & snacks) will cost ZAR100.00 per adult per night and children under 10 years half price. To sum up the total cost per person per night with catering as stated will cost ZAR185.00 + ZAR100.00 = ZAR285.00
